Reversal of SEVIS Automatic Termination

SEVIS has reversed the termination of SEVIS records for many international students, and restored to active status. This reversal followed lawsuits filed by students who argued that terminations violated administrative law due to lack of notice, opportunity to respond, and clear evidence. While DHS and ICE have paused further terminations based on NCIC dababse checks and rstored terminated records, they are working on a new formal policy for terminating SEVIS records.
